Subject: The Equalizer

One of my favorite and probally the most coolest TV show from the 80's, would have to be The Equalizer, a show about a mysterious, old man who take out bad guys (for a fee) and help out people, it also had a cool theme song. Does anyone else remember this show?

I used to watch it too. It's also interesting to note that the actor who played the Equalizer's son played his son in the series too. (the son is the bad blonde guy from the first Karate Kid and the boyfriend from Nat'l Lampoon's European Vacation)

Ah, good ol' Callan! :D

Of course the theme was cool - it was done by Stewart Copeland!

The actor that played his son was Billy Zabka.  His sister was a friend of my friend at Azusa Pacific University.

Cool show.

I loved the Equalizer.  Wonder whatever became of Edward Woodward?

He's still around somewhere, but rarely seen on TV these days...

In his prime (the 70s), Eddie fancied himself as a bit of a singer, releasing a handful of LPs...

'The Equaliser' (our spelling!), was prime-time stuff for a few seasons in the 80s...

I don't really recall watching it, but I gather he didn't sing in it (which is probably a blessing!)

OMG he sang?  Hopefully no worse than Howard Keel of Dallas ;D

Hm...pretty close call, that one!

Well, he could hold a tune, but I certainly wouldn't call it 'the stuff of legend'...

Rather embarrassing note: He and Howard actually managed to have hit LPs here in Britain...

Heaven knows who bought the stuff!

Howard Keel was in the charts along with the likes of The Style Council and Duran Duran ...

No 80's collection is complete without "Reminiscing: The Howard Keel Collection" ;D

In which case, I'm relieved to inform you that my 80s collection has a gaping big hole in it!

I got the same hole in my collection.  I actually almost bought "And I Love You So" by Howard Keel once, just for the hell of it.  I saw it for 50cents in a Goodwill shop, but I figured 50cents was too much to pay for it ;D

There comes a time when you just gotta draw the line, Jason...

'Jane Fonda's Workout Record' falls quite nicely into this category, too!
