What was your favorite trapper keeper? Mine was Lisa Frank's brightly colored unicorn version.

Mine was plain purple on the outside, but within I had folders with the black jungle print and the 'Sportscar in the Shades' design. Very 80's. I haven't carried it since the 8th grade, but I think it's somewhere in my attic. I just might go looking for it now. Thanks, Lilly!
You Pal,
Doc

I had one of these in elementary school... it had a kitten in the middle of a field of flowers on it. ;D I loved it.

Mine was Blue or Green or Red??
I don't quite remember. I was just the plain jane version.
Remember the cheesy commercial that had the guy holding the notebook with all the papers hanging out of it?

It seems like I got a new one every year. The first one I had was the kitten in the field. It had a snap on the flap. The second one had a blue background and had hearts and rainbows on it. The flap was updated to velcro by then.

i remember going through two in one year. the weather is so cold here walking to school, the flap would split, the plastic would freeze. my covers had all sorts of doodles, signatures and metal band name logos scrawled all over.

I remember how cool it was when I finally got my Trapper Keeper. Mine was a standard one with Transformer folders.

here you go Karen....
it is basically a plastic covered binder...with a velcro closure....they were popular in the 80's...you could store folders in them....and some had pouches for pencils/erasers...etc..

Thanks Quirk. Hmm not sure there was a British equivalent really. Perhaps because even at high school you generally had exercise books for each subject.
