Yep!
"Pretty In Pink" is the right answer! Alongside "Thieves Like Us" (1984) and "Elegia" (1985) it was one of their three songs to appear in the movie.

Thanks I thought I was picturing it in a Molly Ringwald film. It was one of those things I knew, but I didn't know. Thanks for clearing it up! :)
