There is a christmas song that received play circa 1984 that is very good. However, I do not know the name or artist. Some lyrics are:
Christmas time, all the world is bright and shiny, sweet as candy canes hanging from a christmas tree. Santa Claus, with his sleigh and with his reindeer comes to town so be as good as you can be.
Christmas time, time that we wait all year for. Its the time all the world is thinking of. Christmas time, sharing with those we care for. Christmas time, the time to share love.
If anyone could help me identify this song, I would be most pleased.
Mike

I vaguely recall some Christmas song by the Pretenders that was very nice, you might do some research there.

Could it be "Christmas is a time to say I love you" by Billy Squier?

I used to put on a dance to that song when I was a little girl. I know all of the words and even what the album cover looks like. (A lady with Cher-like dark hair, in a green short mini-dress, with white santa-like trim). Since coming upon your post its been driving me nuts to figure out the artist of this song. Let me know if you find it.
