Subject: Kenny Loggins Movie Songs
Written By: eightiesfan on 10/05/04 at 12:34 pm
To me, Kenny Loggins was the king of the 1980's film soundtracks! I would vote for "I'm Free" from Footloose.

Hearing "I'm Alright" always gives me the giggles...and makes me want to throw a "Baby Ruth" in the nearest swimming pool! ;D
Useless trivia: Kenny Loggins graduated from the same high school as me (Everett High-Everett, WA). It's really strange that there was never any sort of recognition in his honor on campus. You would think there would be a picture or something in the school Auditorium, but nope! :(

I liked Danger Zone and I liked I'm Free too. They were both pretty good songs.

I vote for "I'm Alright," because Caddyshack is one of my favorite movies. Nobody will watch it with me, because I recite all the dialogue! :-X

Kenny played at our county fair a few years back. What a great concert. He also does quite a bit of community work up in Santa Barbara.
"I'm Free" is my favorite movie.ÂÂ
"House on Pooh Corner" is my favorite song.

Yet another bit of useless trivia, according to the VH1 special Behind the Movie, about the making of Top Gun:
Kenny Loggins didn't write the song "Danger Zone", and he wasn't the first choice to record the song for the movie - it was offered to Toto first, then Reo Speedwagon, but both bands turned it down!

I can't vote because "Nobody's Fool" was not in the poll. It was a top 20 hit in 1988 and was featured in the movie "Caddyshack II"
