My first concert was M.S.M. in 1991, and I've tried to catch at least 1 concert a year since then.
Genesis, on the Can't Dance tour.
Bruce Hornsby, sans the Range (Harbor Lights tour)
Bryan Adams
Rod Stewart
Don Henley (Inside Job tour of 2000. Opened up with "Dirty Laundry", "Sunset Grill" & "Last Worthless Evening)
Sting (played 5 police songs we sang along with: "Every Breath You Take", "Roxanne", "World Spinning Down", "Don't Stand So Close", & "Message In A Bottle")
And finally this summer, Fleetwood Mac (but except for Stevie's "Stand Back", "Big Love" was the only 80's song they played! & I still say, 'Where's Christine?')
I'd still love to see Huey Lewis & The News, Glenn Frey, Peter Gabriel maybe, 'cause I'm nowhere near done going to rock concerts! Who else have you seen?

I think that I heard somewhere that Christine McVee was battling cancer.  Maybe I am wrong.

Peter Gabriel would be awesome to see live.  I have watched a couple of his DVD's.  Real theatric presentations.

A buddy of mine just saw Don Henley at the Santa Barabara Bowl or down in Irvine, Ca.  He said that it was a really good concert.

Hmmm...

Some of these run the fringes (early 90s) and at least one was quite a bit before the 80s (though still had 80s hits) but...

Adam Ant
Bruce Hornsby and the Range
The Clash
The Cure
Depeche Mode
Duran Duran
East of Eden
The Fixx
A Flock of Seagulls
Guns and Roses
Information Society
Linda Rhondstat
The Pixies
Pointer Sisters
Public Enemy
Psychedelic Furs (x2)
Metallica
The Moody Blues (x2)
Neville Brothers
Seal
Starship
The The
Toad the Wet Sprocket (x3)
U2

There's some others as well, people like Firehouse, Warrant, Dada, Rembrants, and various others that are 80s-style music but technically released in the early 90s...

The concert was a blast!!  It was on the night of my birthday and my wife rented a limo for the show.

It was a real treat to have 2 of the best drummers in the world on the same stage.  The horn section was joined by Gerald Albright and was as good as ever. I could not believe that he played all of his hit songs.  No Genesis though.  The topper was "In The Air Tonight".  Unbelievable!!

I cannot stress enough how great this concert was.  If you can make it - please go.

Let's see..I was mad about 'hair bands' (in case you couldn't guess!  ;))  and I saw almost every one of them that went to Seattle/Tacoma "back in the day"...let's see...

I saw Whitesnake and Great White, David Lee Roth, Cinderella, Winger (twice), Poison (twice), Tesla, LA Guns, DEF LEPPARD (one of my absolute faves), Faster Pussycat, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Bon Jovi (back in like 88 and then again in 2002..they still rock!  8)), Don Dokken,  Kiss, and of course SLAUGHTER (was my dream show, as I'm sure you can guess!!  I was SOOOOO excited!!)...man I know I have to be forgetting somebody---but I also saw Starship, the Monkees (obviously not so much of an 80's band, but I saw them in the 80s!) and I saw Cyndi Lauper when she opened for Cher a couple of years ago..

There is probably more, and I'll kick myself when I do remember, but at least that gives a pretty good idea!  ;)

Well we don't get that much concerts here in Malta,

But from the opportunities I had to see was Iron Maiden (With Blaze Bayley Vocalist Not Bruce Dickinson) and also Jethro Tull a month ago also Steve Hackett (More 70's) which used to be with Genesis.

As for Jethro Tull they still are good performers for there age, and they are more 70s but hey, they won the 1987 Best Hard Rock Band beating Metallica,

Here we get more DJ's at summer time from all over the world, rather then rock bands, but hey this year they started the Malta Classic Rock Festival, hope to see more bands come along in the years to come,

When I seen Iron Maiden they ruled the stage,

As for my dad, he seen twice Dire Straits, David Bowie, Robert Plant, Joe Cocker, from what I know till now back when I used to live in Australia,

Hey you had some great bands I wish I'd seen (Bauhaus in particular).  Lots of these groups I saw at the University Students Union in Loughborough.  Some of the others just didn't tour at that time or maybe when I was slightly too young to go without my parents (which would have been  :-[ )

I saw the Medics at a different local University venue just after they released Spirit in the Sky and then later the same year as a supporting act to The D a m n e d in Green Park in London for The Damned's 10th anniversary party.

I just remembered I also saw Depeche Mode.

We could have seen Echo & The Bunnymen at a club here last Halloween, but we opted to go to a party instead. Bad decision. >:(

Billy Joel was probably the best concert that I have seen to date.  Phil Collins is a close second though.

Krysia,
What did you think of Steve Augeri as the frontman?  I saw them on the Arrival tour a few years ago, along with John Waite and Peter Frampton and thought he sounded ok - a little pitchy a times.

I plan to see Michael Jackson if and when he tours the USA. He was the biggest seller of the 1980s,

;D It'll be the single most euphoric moment of my life.  ;D

^ Has he planned anything for here yet?  I thought those London shows were to be his last ever? I hope he does for you-you deserve the Euphoria!  ;)

I'm going to be seeing Def Leppard, Cheap Trick and Poison (I couldn't remember who the 3rd band was before!) on August 14-I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

I have never seen U2.  They are my Holy Grail of concerts.  I've seen everyone else on the planet I've ever wanted to see, but I just never get to go to their shows when they come around, something always spoils it.  They are going to be here at Raymond James Stadium in October and I am hoping somehow to get tickets THIS TIME!  I'll even just stand in the parking lot and listen if I have to... ::)

Hey^^

I don't know of anything yet, but it's a daily thing for me to go around and see what I can lean. You'll know if he's coming to the USA. You'd hear me screaming from my house.  ;D

I've waited near on 15 years for Michael. I hope he does come here. I just think he's using london as a springboard to gauge how the public recieves him and then he might expand. I don't know, I'm not with Michael. (If I was, I'd cling to his thigh until is bruises begging him to play a date here)  Then I can camp out with the other fans and wait.

He is the ONLY person I'd miss my dialysis for.  ::)
