Is Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69" a power ballad, or just power pop?
See, I was just remarking on YouTube about what a great song "Summer of '69" is because Adams strings together every rock 'n' roll cliche one after another, and the simple anthemic melody is really compelling. No sarcasm...what he does with those rock 'n' roll cliches is great, just listen to the lyrics!

Well, if they're in Europe they have an awful time.
If they're in America, half the crowd are there to mock them and half of them actually want to listen to biblically inspired metal. ;D

Ha ha!
What is so strange is 'Honestly' doesn't involve any kind of religiousness at all.

Ah, Stryper, Christian metal, Bible-chuckers. That's right, they used to throw Bibles into the audience. Nonetheless, the Christian Right still said Stryper was the devil's music!

Take a born-again Christian, take a Satanist, now which one do you think has the better record collection?
