i am trying to remember the name of a show that i watched when i was a child sometime in the 80s.  the show featured a father and son, both with brown hair  and tall that i believe were reunited after spending some time apart.  apparently the mother was dead, but there was a possibility she could be alive.  i think the premise of the show was to find out what happened to the mother...for some reason i feel like the show had a sci-fi feel to it.  both the father and son were very handsome, but unfortunately they did not become a-list actors because i haven't seen them since. i'm sure the show was cancelled, but to this day i remember enjoying it very much and would love to read up on it and the actors. i know i'm giving very little information but i would appreciate any help you could give me.  even maybe a suggestion on who the actors could be, i remember exactly what they look like.thank u very much.
