Subject: Favorite "Its A Different World" character

This show ran from 1987-1993. It did run into the 90's and did see charcter changes and additions. Leena James(Jada Pinkett) replaced Denise Huxtable(Lisa Bonet) in 1991. Sinbad left after the 1989-1990 season if I recall right.

Dwayne Wayne was the tipical nerd but he was ok with it and turned out pretty cool

How bad is that..I didn't even watch it enough to have developed a favorite character.. :-[
I remember that I thought Dwayne Wayne was funny when I DID watch it, and that I thought Whitley was an all around annoying b*tch... :-\\

I had a friend that reminded me of Dwayne Wayne. He had the hair do, the glasses, even dressed like him. So of course that is who I chose.

Um, silly question maybe, but the show was supposed to be about Denise Huxtable (at least before she dropped out & joined the Peace Corps), Why isn't she on the list? That doesn't make much sense.

Because she was only in the first season (maybe second). Most people don't even remember that it was a Cosby spin-off for Denise. :)

I loved Whitley Gilbert. Found almost all the others highly annoying, yet I watched the show regularly... more so the early seasons.
