Subject: '80's Music Video Poll: Most Overrated Music Video
Written By: woops on 06/19/04 at 7:07 pm
My top 3 overrated music videos from the '80's: You could select up to 5 :)
"Love Is A Battlefield" (Pat Benatar)
"Every Breath You Take" (The Police)
"We Are The World" (USA For Africa)
BTW, these are videos that have won Video Music Awards, appeared in many "Greatest Video" lists, and are considered memorable.
Or just overplayed for the better or worse. 8)

Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love"
Not a spectacular song to begin with. It looks like they spent about $20 on the video. There are five models in white makeup badly fake playing their instruments that could barely stay in sync. Lame.

I never understood what was cool about that video either. It was soooo cheesy, even by 80s standards. As a child back in 1986, I remember a lot of "older people" liked that video. I don't know why, but I remember that video was popular with an older demographic. (back then anyway)

I'm going to have to go with Robert Palmer's "Addicted To Love"...because "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On" and "Simply Irresistible" are basically the same video as well.
