Here's the question that I'm trying to answer.
Who sang a version of BB Kings "Is you is or is you ain't my baby7" 
This is not a real person but a charecter.  All the searches I've done and I've got nothing...does this ring a bell with anyone?

I seem to remember this from the Tom & Jerry cartoon.  I think it was called "Zoot Suit" or something of the sort.  He was plucking on a bass.  I hope this helps.
