Watched some of the first 20 last night, it was pretty good. :)

It was better than most of VH1's lists. 8)
Though a bit interesting since they're moments from non metal bands like Alice In Chains, L7, Led Zeppelin, and Aerosmith.
Then again, who cares. It's all about the most rockin' (no pun intended) moments from the past 30 years.
Even a recent entry from The Darkness, that I've never heard of, appeared.
More shocking... that Michael Jackson was shocked that the Darkness brought in a donkey at a fashion show or something. ::)

For me the most "Metal Moment," other than Ozzy biting the head off a dove, was when kids at school thought Spinal Tap was a real band! And then Spinal Tap became a real band!
:D

:D
I remember watching Spinal Tap on HBO and my mom freaking out. She thought (as did I) at the time it was about a real band. ;D

and they also discussed Aerosmith & Rolling Stones.I can't believe what Steve Tyler and Mick Jagger look like now.Steve must be in his late 50's and Mick must be 60 years old. :o

It was quite suprising that the metal "We Are The World" type charity event was #1.
IMO, they left out two memorabloe moments:
1. When Guns N' Roses trashed the set of "Headbangers Ball"
2. When Metallica lost an award to Jetho Tull at the 1989 Grammys.

Huh? That must be a joke or something. You can't get farther from 'metal than that song, and how man metal bands were involved in the event? What about "Hear 'n Aid"?

Yeah I was surprised Hear 'n Aid was #1. Man, that was a lame song! I thought for SURE Dio's devil fingers would be #1 ;D

 What about "Hear 'n Aid"?
I think that's what woops meant. As for metal charity events, there's one here in Australia every year.

98 Faster Pussycat singer scratches crotch with fan's prosthetic arm. (have to admit, I laughed my butt off on this one. ;D)
91 Stryper start oxymoronic Christian metal movement. (I love Stryper. This should have been higher than #91)
82 Megadeth's Dave Mustaine talks smack in Ireland and needs armed escort out of country. (idiot ::) )
52 Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx sets himself on fire in the name of showbiz. (It is surprising that he is still alive)
37 W.A.S.P.'s Blackie Lawless sports exploding codpiece. (dude, put down the crackpipe and slowly back away :o)
10 Def Leppard drummer loses arm but keeps rocking. (Should have been #1, IMO)
6 Judas Priest 's leather-clad “Metal God†comes out of the closet. (Honestly, who was shocked?)

1. "Hear N' Aid" benefit album unites metal nation for the good of all.
Metal did an album...they didn't do We Are The World. Woops was compairng Hear N' Aid to it.
