Wood Beez, Boom! There She Was and Perfect Way are my favorites, but I love the entire Cupid and Psyche 85 album. Reminds me of my senior year of high school. Plus, I always thought Green was pretty hot.

I like Wood Beez (Pray like Aretha Franklin) followed by The Word Girl.
Scritti Politti have had a few hits in Britain, the two above being the most well known.

I've never been much for Scritti, but I did like Perfect Way, a song I always associate with ABC's Be Near Me.

About 85 - 88, Howard. Though they made an appearance with Shabba Ranks in a 1991 single called 'She's a woman'.

Sadly the lead guy, one Mr. Green Gartside had/has extreme stage fright, so touring and such is very difficult for him to manage. But the website says they attempted an album just before 1990.
You would think small club venues darkened to where he can't see the audience would relieve some of the fear& anxiety. I guess it doesn't help tho' cause he'd still "know" people were out there.

In 1998, Scritti Politti released the acclaimed 'Anomhie and Bonhomie' album, which bascially illustrated their new found sound - a harder and more critical lyrical delivery, accompanied by small amounts of Rap, electic guitar and trademark synth.
An excellent album that is well worth buying.
Oh, and my fav is 'Word Girl' :)
