Fortress and Set Them Free have gotta be about equals in my book. I also really like "All This Time", but I dont remember if that was late 89 or early 90s.

I'm pretty much only a casual fan of solo Sting (but the hits ARE pretty good!).
I went with "Fortress Around your Heart" - kind of atmospheric yet pop/rock-ish at the same time. This and "If You Love Somebody" are probably the only songs from his solo career that are somewhat Police-like. :)
