I voted 'Scrooged' as well. As much as I love Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Frank Cross was such a great creation.
Frank: Grace, what in the hell is this?
Grace: Oh it's a painting, one of my kids did. See, there's Santa Clause and there's Mrs Clause
Frank: Honey, how many fingers does Mrs. Clause have here?
Grace: Eleven
Frank: Eleven. Right. (rips it down) It's crap. Lose it. I don't want it on the wall (tosses it in the bin).

Even though I liked all of the movies listed, I liked Meatballs the most.

I was going to post Meatballs :), but it was 1979 (not technically 80's :-\ )

I dont know if "What About Bob" was 80s or 90s, but that was my fav movie of his, and one of my all time faves.

STRIPES
Caddyshack is a better flick, but I personally despise golf too much to even enjoy seeing a golf send-up. The first 45 minutes of "Stripes," or however long it is until Sgt. Hulka gets knnocked out, are some of Murray's finest. These include: his taxi-cab anxiety attack, his girlfriend dumping him, the dynamics between him and Harold Ramis, and all the repartee between Winger and Warren Oates' Sgt. Hulka character.
;D

True.
I always thought "Stripes" had Bill Murray at his best in the '80s.

I voted for Scrooged.
On a somewhat related topic, I watched The Royal Tenenbaums on video last week and he has a supporting role in the cast as Gwyneth Paltrow's husband - you wouldn't even recognize him.

The quintessential "Bill Murray" is Winger in "Stripes," especially in the first half of the movie!

If you liked him in Ghostbusters, you need to fix that, pronto. The humor in all three films is timeless; anyone watching Stripes who doesn't remember the Cold War can mentally replace "Czechoslovakia" with "North Korea".

I mean what typifies Bill Murray's persona: Scenes before they join the army.
