Take on me as well, Woops - It's too mind-bogglingly clever how they intereject animation with real life. It was also one of the first music videos I've seen.

I remember seeing that for the first time, and being like, "wow".
Actually, there is another vid that wasn't included that is sort of animated.
Paula Abdul's "Opposites Attract" with MC Skat Kat. One of my faves!
Come 2 think of it, I think that vid may have been released in 1990, so maybe that's it. But, in any event, a great song and video.....and, I luv Paula!

Cor Blimey. 'Take on me' by A-ha is almost unanimous. Dire Straits and Peter Gabriel have great videos and Madonna's 'Dear Jessie's vid has a special place in my heart but A-ha's means the most to me. :)

i chose "money for nothing" because it's one of the earliest examples of computer animation. don't care much for the song though, i much liked "take on me", the song but not the video...i'm confuzzed at the moment.

Actually, I remember seeing it before 1990. I joined the Navy in 1988, and before we went on our MedCruise, I had seen that video...and bought the tape.

a-ha! Loved the ending, with the guy trying to pound himself back into the real world.
And instead of "Money For Nothing", I'd pick Weird Al's version (the Beverly Hillbillies) that spoofed both the animation and the live action perfectly. (as he usually does)
