Subject: Music Video Poll: Duran Duran

My choice: "Girls On Film". 8)
Early '90's Duran Duran videos ("Come Undone", "Ordinary World") also count for "other".

My choice was hungry like the wolf. Wild boys came second.
I would like to acknowledge the remake of 'White lines' they did in the mid 90s as well - nice cover.

I love the video for "Waiting For The Night Boat" because it shows their acting "ability" which I find amusing. :) I also love the video for "Planet Earth" from a fashion and style standpoint because I loved their hair and fashion back then. Plus, it steals from another one of my favourite videos, "Ashes To Ashes" by David Bowie. :D

This is a tuff one! I pretty much loved all of their videos. "Girls On Film" was even hot, even though I am a feminist, and the images of the women rubbing ice on their boobs was kinda' disturbing. I also thought the fat guy being knocked around was also a little rough....but, all in all, it was pretty hot. I do have to say that "Rio" and "SAP" have special place in my heart, b/c "Rio" was when I first got a glimpse of my beloved Nick Rhodes, and "SAP" was where Nick and JT are on the elephanit, laughing and stuff........that even turned me on a little bit, if ya' know what I mean.
The only thing that sort of bothered me about the DD videos was that Simon LeBon kind of hammed it up alot. Nothing against him, personally, it's just that it would be nice to see JT and Nick getting a little action for a change. Actually, this video came out in 1997, but it's still a personal fave of mine. It's called "Out of My Mind", and it is featured on the soundtrack to "The Saint". It shows Nick dressed in drag, and then he's making out with this peasant girl, and then he kisses a bald girl. Really hot! But "Save A Parayer" & "Rio" are my 2 fave '80s DD vids!

Oh, I totally 4-got about "VTAK"!!! Nick with the long hair and the makeup, and he's taking pictures of some really beautiful french model. The only part I didn't like was near the end when Nick was killed by Andy.
Say......do any of u know whether this is true or not? I remember reading where Andy didn't really like Nick and they often fought alot. I hope this isn't true, b/c I always thought the guys in DD got along so well.
"Look over your shoulder.....that looks GR-AYTE!!"
"Look to your left a little bit!"

SAVE A PRAYER was a great video, really worked well with the song. All Duran videos are cool, though.

So many of their videos were great.
I liked Girls on Film because it was just so wild and sexy.
Speaking of sexy, does anyone remember 'The Chauffeur'
Billy Idol's ex-girlfriend, Perri stars in it, as the topless blonde 'dancer'.
