Subject: VHI Classics channel
Written By: Diamond Doll on 04/23/04 at 9:16 am
Does anyone get the cable channel VHI Classics? I am hooked on it! They have the coolest 80's videos without commercials. They have different shows like Metal Mania, We Are the 80's, and Pop Show to name a few. It's very kewl. 8)

Yes, I get it and I love it! Sometimes I watch it until a movie or something I want to see is supposed to start and I miss the movie because I can't turn off VH1 Classic. Other times I just watch because I love the station.

Yeah I get VH1 classics but we get adverts every 3 songs. It's one of the few channels that shows non-stop music videos without lots of computer graphics hogging the picture (winds me up that does - especially when I want to record a great vid).

I don't have it, but know it's the greatest channel that plays classic videos. I would also be addicted if I had it.
Though I have the second rate MTV2 that only plays a selectful of videos, mostly from hip hop & pop punk acts. :-\
Still decent with "Greatest Hits" (only from popular bands today or still around like Weezer) and video specias.
"Metal Mania" beats out "The New Headbanger's Ball" anytime. 8)
As a subsitute, I collect music videos on DVD. :)

If I got VH1 Classic, I would never go outside, do any laundry, wash any dishes, do homework, study for tests, eat, drink, or sleep.

The greatest thing about VH1 is it shows footage of 60s and 70s songs as well!
Welcome back to the boards, Lebeiw15. :)

Of course, Howard. I mentioned exclusively 60s and 70s because you will find stuff on there you don't expect to see like live footage of bands playing from somewhere.
Not only do I expect the 80s to be on VH1 - I DEMAND it! ;D

I've had it for about a year or so. And like the others that responded to the post, it is simply addicting! Just like old MTV, I could sit and watch it for an hour or two and it will seem like only minutes!
Yeah VH1 Classic!!!! ;D ;D ;D

It is what Mtv (and VH1) USED to be.
FUSE is also a pretty good music channel.

I didn't have VH1 Classic until my cable provider(Adelphia) added it in mid part of 2004. It's an excellent channel, very addicting. If I had VH1CL on my bedroom tv I'd NEVER cut it off...but still worth walking to the living room just to watch it.
My fav show on it is CLASSIC SOUL-- ;D IMO it's way better than
"Grown Folks Music" on BET... :P
