Subject: need help with song from 1982-83
If anyone has any information about a song called Nicole or My sweet Nicole that came out in 1982 or 83 please help. I think the artist was Point Blank, however, I have checked out their music from another site, and I don't see anything even close to what I am looking for. I was pregnant at the time with my first daughter and I loved the song so much I named her after it, so I know it exists. It may not even be named what I think, but the lyrics say "oh Nicole, my sweet Nicole" HELP!

The info you've received is fairly accurate, Lorijane. The song is simply titled "Nicole", and was indeed by the band Point Blank. They were a southern rock band that hailed from Texas. (Shame on TX for not knowing that, LOL!) I'm willing to wager that that web site you said you checked out is most likely for another more recent group masquerading under the same name! "Nicole" was a moderate hit here in the U.S. in the Summer of '81 (not 1982-83). I'm a huge fan of Point Blank (have all six of their albums, dating from 1976-82), and it would prove to be their biggest hit. "Nicole" was off the group's 1981 album, "American Exce$$". Unfortunately, the album is long out-of-print, and has never been re-issued on CD here in the U.S...

He posted: "The song is called "Nicole" by Point Blank, from 1981. I think that the album is very hard to find, but I have that song on a compilation cd called Southern Fried Rock: Second Helping."
