if anyone has any info whatsoever about the year of 1984 please email me. i am doin a project on that year in American History. so please i need every type of info possibly known

Funny you should mention it! There was just an hour long special on VH-1 about the year 1984. Maybe they'll be running it again...I saw it on Sunday, May 7. Maybe someone taped it that you know or maybe you could go to VH-1 website and see if they're airing it again.

P.S.: It was a great year! The last year the original Van Halen was together (and their last album was called "1984")...MTV was king! MTV was dominant in making stars like Duran Duran and Madonna. The video was just as important as the song back then because people wanted to see their favorite bands as well as hear their music.
Well anyway, if you need more info send me some questions and I'll try to answer them as accurately and truthfully as I can. I was 16 in 1984! Egads!

I suggest you watch VHI's special this weekend on the year 1984. It will cover at the very least the music. Other topics from that year was the unfortunate landslide election victory of Reagan over Walter Mondale. The Chicago Cubs made the playoffs for the first time in 40 years or so.
