Subject: What do you think of American Psycho ?
Hi,
Did you read the novel "American Psycho" by Brett Easton Ellis ? I did about 6 years ago. Beyond the psycho-killer story is an interesting portrait of the eighties. The movie can now be seen in the U.S. but hasn't been released yet in Europe so I'd like to ask those who saw it what they think of it ?
Regards, Lionel

hi lionel, i thought the movie was movie was great.it was really sick, but unfortunately i didn't understand how it ended.my mind must have wandered or something at the end because it seemed to have some kind of twist that i didn't understand. What happened? did he not really kill all those people? he seemed to get away with things too easily. i would love it if you could explain. Also did you see Fight Club? I thought that was a great psyco flick.

All decent people should boycott this filthy, hateful film. It appeals to the lowest

I haven't seen Fight Club but I probably missed something because everybody I know that has seen it says it's terrific. Now back to our Psycho... As far as I remember, at the end of the book, he tells his colleagues he committed these murders but they say that, for some reasons I can't remember, it was impossible that HE did it. I know this may be confusing but you mustn't forget that he's really mentally ill and, since the book is written as a first-person report, you never read someone else's description of facts -- only his ! So you can't say exactly if the murders were facts or fantasies...
