Hi,

I am desperately looking for the song title or artist of a song I saw the video for around 1983-4. Part of the Video took place in kinda of a Goth dinner party I believe. Some of the lyrics I remember (probably not verbatim) are : Is it the time? Is it the wine? Too many thrills? Too many pills? The band reminded me of the Damned, but it was not them. Please help me, Thanks everyone!!

Mike, Sorry I haven't gotten back to you in so long. Things have been really crazy here. Also, I'm not staying at my apartment 'cos I crashed my car into a tree & I can't get it out of impound until my mom's will is probated (the car's in her name). So, my sister is letting me stay at her house until I get my car back. Then, when I do get my car back, I'm planning on moving to a smaller, cooler apartment. Well, the point of telling you all this, is that when I get settled, I'm planning on going through all my tapes of the videos I recorded throughout the 80's. It's nagging at me that that video sounds so familiar & I can't think of what it is. I know it's not INXS, which I'm sure you know that, too. It kinda sounds like a video by the band, Kommunity FK, but I don't know the name of the song. Well, just wanted to let you know I hadn't forgotten about you. xxoo-Viv

hey, if you could possibly describe the video in a little bit more detail...it sounds vaguely familiar. i've got hundreds (if not thousands) of music videos on tape from the 80's (all alternative) & i might have that one. but, i'd need a little more of a description if you could. it does sound familiar, though. Viv

Surely you're not thinking about "One Thing" by INXS??? I just remember that video was set around a dinner table...

Thanks for the response!!!! I will try and explain things a little bit more. Like I said before most of the Video is set in a Goth like dinner party. I remember the band members were done up somewhat Goth like and were sitting around singing the lyrics. Part of it may have been outside the house and there might been mist floating around the ground (I only have the vaguest recollections of that though) The table they were around was full of food and candlesticks etc.. that you would expect at a fancy Goth dinner party. I don't remember any other lyrics. The show it was on was a syndicated show that I believe was done out of L.A. The host was a blonde guy who was known in the music biz down there, probably a d.j. (maybe from KROQ). I don't remember the name of the show exactly, but it reminded me of VH1. It was something similar. I was just hoping someone would have a lead as to the name of the band or song, but if you actually have the video, I would love to talk to you further.
