Subject: Breakin
My boyfriend is totally mad about breakdance and is trying to find any information about Ozone and Turbo. Like what they're up to now or if they've appeared in any other films. Have you got any information which will help him? Ta
Subject: Re: Breakin
1st) Turbo and Ozone were just names for the Movie
the short guy's real dance name is BOOGALOO SHRIMP
And the taller guy is SHABBA-DOO
SHABBA DOO was a Locker from the 70s he never did waves or slides or ticking which are the things most people associate with the "popping" street dance popping is actually just the style of hitting and flexing your muscles to the beat. it has become a more general term though...
Boogaloo shrimp still shows up too annual BBOY and street dance events like Radiotron and bboy summit .... as does shabba doo...
the movie breakin hardly scratches the surface of what these guys can really do.
they are also in breakin 2 electric boogaloo as are the "bad guys" from the original breakin
The mexican guy with the jerry curl is "Pop - n - Taco" he is currently in the electric boogaloo's dance group and is one of the most amazing dancers you'll ever see ...he does insane waves hits and ticks it looks inhuman
and the guy that was his partner in breakin in Popin' Pete also in the electric boogaloos and is a brother to the inventor of boogaloo and popping style (mixed together called eletric boogaloo style)
the girl that the Electro rock crew brought out is called "Lolli POp" and she is an old school locker...and popper ...
...all of these people were also featured in 80's commercials and music videos
