Subject: Name that show
There was a show in the mid to late 80s that I can not remember the name of. The only thing that I do remember is that he main character was an alien that had a little computer that was a floating ball of light. When ever he needed something like a car or a plane the computer would draw it out and then it would become real. He also had a young human as a side kick.
