Subject: '80s Toy (rubiks style) late 80s ?
okay ... I'm pretty sure they were called a "YOSHI" ....i got mine in 1988 when a girl brought hers to class ...everyone started buying them.
They came preformed as a cube ... but the thing was you can unfold it in certain ways and make oragami type shapes with it ....... and if you have two you could make certain shapes that would fit together (if you were extra cool)
....I still have mine but the its not connected any more... there is no name on the actual thing ... so im not sure if it was actually called a yoshi... or if that was teh company .... or what company it was ....which makes it hard for me to find a new one......... ive searched ebay for yoshi but never find it .... if you need to see a pic if you think you know what it is just tell me i'll send

Not that I plan on bidding on it, but I went to ebay to see it because I was curious to see what toy you were talking about. I couldn't find it on ebay, all they had under "yoshimoto" were some kind of Japanese kitchen books???
