Subject: Why Don't You Use a TV Show Directory?

Written By: Duane Hahn on 3/14/2000 at 1:22 p.m.

I noticed that some of your 80s TV show information has blank spots.

I own "The Complete Directory To Prime Time Network TV Shows". I know you can't copy directly from the book, but couldn't you use dates and names from it without getting into trouble?

Is there a reason why you don't use this kind of book as the source for the basic information of each TV show?

Thanks for your time,

Duane Hahn

People treat these books as gospel or Bibles and they are anything but, one of the reason why they make multiple editions of these books is to handle all the goofs and inaccurate mistakes they have printed over the years, PLUS there is not just one book that is a complete directory there are other books by authors who claim to have he same knowledge than the other guy. I find it humorous that there are several books out ther ebasicially saying the same thing with the same goofs and errors when your best resrouce material is going to the refernece section in University libraries to get what is close to a bible or gospel information on show or shows instead of these silly reference books.

I do use a book for most of that information, I just never had the time to copy down the cast info for each show. Every show in my TV directory should have the years it was originally broadcast
