Subject: 80's PSA-Drinking and Driving
Does anyone remember the commercial where there is group of friends coming out of a bar walking towards their car. One friend asks the other friend if he's going to drive. The friend responds "Ah, what's a few beers?". Meanwhile the song "Beat It" by Michael Jackson is playing in the background. The guy who is drunk starts the car, a bolt of lightning follows, and the next thing you see is 4 charred skeletons in a burnt-out car, with the wind blowing. The PSA ends with the message, "Don't drink and drive."

Oh my gosh, yes, I remember!! Now that I think about it, how could those PR and production people see their finished product and think it was really good?? I remember another one with just a skeleton (obviously being moved with strings) that says, "Don't drink and drive . . . you never know *what* . . . you might encounter." I think it shows a full moon in the ad, and also, the skeleton's voice is this weird computer-sounding voice. Remember?

I believe I do remeber that one also. That one was pretty scary also. Nowadays you don't see that many of those kinds of PSAs
