Subject: New 80s Style Bands

Written By: Sal Collaziano on 2/28/2000 at 12:28 p.m.

Hi there all.. Has anyone noticed the trend of 80's bands coming around again? Not only the actual bands from the 80's but new ones! Atello, Band Central Station, Rockarazzi, etc.. There are a bunch of them!

I also hear (from popular magazines) that 80's styles are already coming back. It's strange because the 80's haven't even been gone very long! :) Has anyone else heard anything like this?

I hope that it's true. I like almost all styles and music of the late 80's. Those were my college years, so I really have great memories of those times!

Ive noticed this trend also about fashion trends. The army parachute pants are coming back and Old Navy is selling mens capri pants. but on a downside, alot of the clubs in my area are having 80s dance nights instead of live bands. This isn't good if you have starving bands trying to land a gig, but the scene won't support it. Support Live music!

There are actually a lot of live 80's dance acts around my area. Artists from the 80's are coming back in dance music as well.. George Lamond, Cynthia, TKA, Coro, Judy Torres, etc...
