Subject: video with mannequins- can't remember name
Does anyone remember the song/performer who did an all music (no lyrics) song and in the video he had mannequins strung on cables and they were being remotely manipulated as though they were doing everyday human things such as cleanin the house etc.? I recall it had a lot of synthesizers in it and this particular songwriter/performer only had like two hits. He also won that year for something like best video. Please e-mail me!

> Thank you ChuckyG . . .I'm on the 10 year reunion committee for my high school and our theme is obviously "80's" - suprisingly, no one knew what I was talking about when I tried to describe this song and video. It's been driving me crazy ever since! Thanks again!!

Darn good song and video. Hey Chucky G., is this web thing your career? I take it you're Charles R. Grosvenor Jr. Bless you for giving us this forum for 80s nostalgia.

right now it sort of is.. I'm taking time out of my career to just work on my websites, start up a couple more (the 70s and 90s sites, as well as one about Worcester Massachusetts, and a dirty joke site) and look for a job in Perl/Java instead of doing more embedded software work...
incase anyone is wondering, I think next week is going to be focused on working on the decade sites.. the last week was spent on the local sites.. so there may be some new stuff showing up here.. or at least some new layouts and misheard lyrics...

I have to say I'm very grateful to you for spending all this time researching and putting this site together. I didn't realize there were actually others out there pining away for a lost decade of great memories! It's such great fun to bring back the music, movies, and styles (among many other things) of the 80's! I love reading the messageboard, too. Maybe I can finallly put my knowledge of useless 80's trivia to work for me, and help out some other folks, while getting my own questions answered. This forum is great!
