The group that sang "Der Kommissar" was called After the Fire.

The song was originally done in German by Falco, who later scored with "Rock Me Amadeus." At least I can understand After the Fire's version.

What? You don't speaken de Dustch freulein? (ok, I can't spell in German, sue me.. not my fault it's the only German I remember from "Trading Places")
I had a summer camp counselor the year that came out who used to play them back to back, several times a day... amazing I still like them both..

Yes, I remember Falco's version. In fact, I heard his first before I ever heard After The Fire's version. Even though it was in German I always liked it.
