Subject: Happy Birthday, President Reagan.

Written By: Timbuk-Three on 2/6/2000 at 12:44 p.m.

I wish to extend President Reagan a very Happy Birthday, and may he have many more of them to come.

I also wish to express my thanks to Mr. Reagan for piloting this nation through the most remarkably prosperous and winsome years in the history of this nation --- and my life. I shall never forget them.

An un-Happy Birthday to the worst President and 12 years of political reign in history (Reagan-Bush). I could puke!

Putting politics aside - in light of the fact that Mr. Reagan suffers from the advanced stages of Alzheimer's Disease, it is not appropriate to wish him an 'un-Happy Birthday'. I cannot conceive how he, his family, and close friends could consider, at this point, any of his birthdays happy ones. It is very sad to imagine what his loved ones have gone through as his condition rapidly declined and they saw only a shell left of the man that they had known. Despite your political views, from a more personal perspective I believe that some empathy is due.

He has had alzheimer's since mid-way through his second term of office. I can say whatever I want to, I just didnt care for him or Bush or that entire 12 year reign they had on top of the political world. I'm sorry but this touched a sore spot with me. Enough said.
