Subject: Marco Polo-starring Chamberlain
I am looking for information on the TV mini-series "Marco Polo" starring Richard Chamberlain. When I saw it, I was in my early twenties, and it impressed me to the point that from then on, my new love interest was history. I hated history in school, and never knew how important the man "Marco Polo" was, until this movie. I sat there, with my map, tracking his adventures. Since then, I watch all the historical movies and mini-series I can. I often have thought that if this type of movie was viewed by history students, especially in their teens, it might spark new interest in some that otherwise would be missed. I am now a mother of a teenager, and would love to get a chance to offer this movie to his teacher and school. I spoke with his teacher, and she is most excited about the prospect of having this tool available to her. Please, if anybody has an ideas for me, I would be so very grateful. And to all you teachers out there...I would think this would be a great way to teach and seemingly mundane subject. Thank you. Sincerely, Donna
