Subject: GLEEKING AND YANGING
When I was sitting in class as a kid, I remember that other kids used to do this spitting-out-of-the-2-front-teeth thing (or the spitting-out-of-the-tongue thing). I never learned how to do it, though it wasn't for lack of trying. Any comments, people? Is this an 80s thing, or have kids been doing it since the beginning of time? The most common names for this phenomenon are "to gleek" and "to yang." Are there any other names? I'd especially like to know what people from countries other than the U.S. have to say on this subject.

Kids have probably always done it. My sister did it with deadly accuracy when she was about 9 - before the gap in her front permanent teeth closed.
