Does anyone remember a song that went "10, 9, 8, I'm always counting down...isn't it funny, I never get to one....."? i thought it was called "Ten, nine, eight", but can't find it anywhere. It was out in the period from 1985 to 1988.

Hi Mike! Are you thinking of the song by Face To Face? I remember hearing that around 1984 or 1985. I think they were a one hit wonder...

Yes, the name of the song is "10-9-8." (Epic 04430)

Face to Face were a Boston-based quintet. They appeared as a backing band in the film "Streets of Fire" for which lead singer Laurie Sargent recorded actress Diane Lane's vocals.

"10-9-8" debuted on the Hot 100 June 2, 1984 and peaked at #38. Total chart run: 15 weeks.
