Subject: Turkey Day.... aka Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving (the American version, Canada's has passed by) had some really cool TV specials now that I'm thinking of it.. the best two have to be the WKRP special I mentioned earlier, and the other one has to be the Cheers episode where Diane shows up at Carla's in a pilgrim outfit, and eventually a big food fight breaks out...
Can anyone think of any others? I was thinking of creating a page for them.. Thanksgiving specials are the best, they're not always predicatable, and certainly not overplayed.. like Christmas ones.. which considering it's sweeps season, you'd think they'd be bigger...

I can think of 2 Thanksgiving specials off hand, even though they're not necessarily from the 80s. The first is the Brady Bunch where Greg makes the home movie about the pilgrims, and the second is A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving where Snoopy serves toast, popcorn, and jeyy beans for dinner among other things and the food is served on the ping pong table.
There are so many good Christmas classics. 2 words: Rankin Bass. They were the creators of Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, Here Comes Santa Claus, and The Year Without A Santa Claus (remember the Heat Miser and Snow Miser????) By the way there's a good website dedicated to the Heat Miser and Snow Miser. I can't remember the exact address, but I did a search on some search engine.
You can get the classic songs from the Christmas specials I just mentioned on a collection of 2 CDs called "A Classic Cartoon Christmas" and "A Classic Cartoon Christmas Too". These are a must buy!!!!!!
