Subject: Question about a toy

Written By: Rob on 11/11/1999 at 6:55 a.m.

Ok,

This has been bugging us for over 2 years now. There was a toy back in the 80's and we can not figure out what it was called. Here is the description:

It had 2 parts to it. The first was a background. The background could be anything, but it usually depended on which set you bought. There were different sets, but the only one I really remember was Scooby Doo. Anyway, the 2nd part of the toy was an opaque plastic sheet with the figures on it. You would position the figures on the scenery and rub them with a pencil or a penny and they would transfer onto the background. That was it. That was all you could do. I know there were alot of different sets and themes you could buy, and it seems like these were always sold right next to the check out stands in the stores. If anyone could give us ny help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I believe the name of the toy you're thinking of was called Presto Magix. Yes, there were many different sets available. Not sure if you can still find them today. Hope this helps.

That sounds right. I'll have to bounce that off my friend over here. Do you happen to know where a picture of a Presto Magix might be on the internet?
