Subject: an 80's tv show?
Hi. I'm trying to find what show Wilford Brimely (the quaker oatmeal guy)played in. All I remember is it was an 80's tv show if I'm not mistaken and he played the grandfather for some little kids? Thanks Nick

Maybe it was "Our House"? This show played in reruns recently on the Odyssey Channel but our stupid cable company took it off and put another religious channel in its place!

Yes it was Our House. It also starred Diedre Hall (Days of Our Lives), Shannen Doherty (90210), and Chad Allen (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman).

And yes, it's still on the Odyssey Channel, which I don't get anymore because my stupid cable system took it off.

that's strange your cable system removed it. a friend of mine works for our local cable company and she said people usually request channels that show mostly reruns more than anything else.. you probably complain to them.. you're probably not alone..

Actually, the channel was originally a religious-programming channel and the cable company thought the programming was getting a little too secular and replaced it with a channel that was mainly religious programming. I bet that if they took off the Fox Family Channel (which was originally CBN) and replaced it with a channel that had almost all religious programming, there'd be a lot of complaining!
