Subject: TOP NOTCH FILMS
This is my first posting to the site (which by the way is great!) but I was inspired by Clare Hardwicks' lists - she sounds like a cool chick. Anyway, the 80s was great for films - especially with the emergence of the BRAT PACK. Heres my top films - I'd appreciate your ideas out there and lets get back to the 80s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. The Lost Boys - cool teen Vampire movie, great soundtrack and Jason Patric!! 2. Mannequin - what can I say?! 3. St Elmos Fire - before Demi Moore turned into a Bitch! 4. Pretty in Pink - loved Ducky - that bit in the record store with Otis Redding - cooool! 5. Flashdance - what a feeling!!!! 6. Breakdance - rock steady crew!! 7. The Outsiders - hunk city!!! 8. Dirty Dancing - nobody puts Baby in a corner 9. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - pure pap 10. Ferris Beullers Day Off - TOP NOTCH!!!

yes...i agree with most of your choices. i didn't particularly like st. elmos fire. i would have to add "Can't Buy Me Love", "She's Out of Control," "Better off Dead," and "Say Anything." Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, is definately a great flick. i love watching the 80s movies before the people were actually stars and seeing how funny they look. like in "Valley Girl". I guess im kind of a cheezy 80s lover.
