"Jessie's Girl" has the artist & spelling correct. (Most folks have a hard time w/ Lekakis' last name!) However, the actual title of the song is "Boom Boom (Let's Go Back to My Room)". It was a moderate hit in the Spring of '87, just missing the top 40.

As I was in music retail at the time the song was a hit, it's worth pointing out that "Boom Boom (Let's Go Back to My Room)" was released only as a single here in the U.S.-i.e., there was *no* album from Lekakis! This infuriated a lot of people, because that meant the only way you could get the song was on vinyl, and vinyl was well on its way out by 1987! Most folks wanted to have it on either cassette or CD, so naturally they came in assuming he must have an entire album. Needless to say, a lot of customers were forced to walk away unhappy. (Cassette singles were just months away from being introduced in quantity, so it was vinyl or nothing.) And when Lekakis did finally get around to releasing his debut album, "Tattoo It", in the Summer of 1990, he was w/ a new label at that point, so it didn't include "Boom Boom"! Therefore, the only way to get the song on CD today would be on some compilations of '80s hits-in other words, don't bother trying to find any of Lekakis' original albums!

Actually, "Tattoo It" did include a version of "Boom Boom". But again, as Lekakis was signed to a new record label at the time (Sire), from what I understand, it is a re-recording, although I admit I don't have the album myself. (The original 1987 hit version was on indie label ZYX Records.) Sorry for any confusion. Also, there may be some import CDs out there by Lekakis that contain the original...
