Right on, brother! When was the last time you saw a video that was not part of a program on MTV? I think VH1's slogan "Music First" really sucks! It should be "crap first, music second"! When was the last time you saw a music video on VH1 that was not part of a program? And the country music channel CMT(V) is trying to shy away from videos, but they play more videos than MTV and VH1 combined. But then again, they are country music videos. I think that MTV does play way too many black videos, probably even moreso than BET!

I totally agree with what you guys are saying. I remember a time when MTV was actually associated with something cool. Now it is a complete and utter embarassment. Does any one else feel like they are going to vomit when ever she catches a glimpse of Carson Daly and TRL. Now MTV is totally targeted towards teenyboppers (Backstreet, Britney Spears, etc...) And the other problem I have is that VH1 is targeted towards 30-somethings. So what is out there for people who aren't 13 or 30? I mean some of VH1 stuff is interesting, but it is all propaganda (they always seem to be promoting someone), and they only have about five of each program (pop-up video, behind the music, etc.) so it ends up all being repeats.
