Anybody in to the more extreme side of 80's metal ? Bathory, Mercyful Fate, Necronomicon etc. Thanks

It's too bad IMO that most people automatically think of glam metal when they think "80's Metal". I'll admit I like some of that glam stuff, but still, there were just as many speed/thrash metal bands around at the time (not to mention bands that didn't really fall into either category, like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio, etc.). Occasionally I do listen to my old stuff from Testament, King Diamond, Overkill, Megadeth, Anthrax, etc.

I hear ya ! Those bands weren't radio friendly then and definitly are not today. I wonder how someone could be exposed to those bands today ? Same with me regarding the glam bands. Dokken, early Crue. early Ratt Twisted and so on.
