OK..THIS IS A REAL HEATED SUBJECT FOR ME SO I'LL TRY TO BE CALM...IS IT JUST ME OR DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT 90'S MUSICIANS SHOULD DO THEIR OWN THING AND LEAVE THE 80'S MUSICIANS (THEIR FOREFATHERS)TO DO THEIR OWN THING????
I SAY THIS BECAUSE I ABHORE TRENT REZNOR AND MARILYN MANSON!!!!I'M SORRY BUT I DO...NO GOOD HAS COME OUT OF THIS YOU KNOW..TRENT SHOULD HAVE LEFT DAVID BOWIE ALONE AND M.M. SHOULD HAVE NEVER GONE NEAR GARY NUMAN (MY IDOL)...BOTH OF THE ALBUMS INFLUENCED BY THESE GUYS SU@K..IT IS OK TO GIVE INPUT..OR GET DRUNK TOGETHER OR WHAT EVER BUT DAVID IS DAVID AND GARY IS GARY AND THEY DO'NT NEED OTHER PEOPLES STYLE TO SELL ALBUMS.....I HAD A POCKET FULL OF ROCKS THE NIGHT I WENT TO SEE GARY NUMAN I WAS GOING TO WHIP THEM AT MARILYN MANSONS HEAD IF HE CAME ON STAGE...I WAS IN THE 3RD ROW..... ..I DUNNO..MAYBE I'M JUST OLD AND CRANKY..........

Well, you do seem a bit upset, and I agree with you to a certain extent. I don't mind 90's bands covering or working with 80's artist or their music. the 80's artist did the same with 70's musicians. Duran covered "Fame" and (1978) Van Halen covered the Kinks "you really got me" and Roy orbinson's "Pretty Woman". So that's alright with me.
What MAKES ME CRAZY is the TV commercials that use 80's music to try and sell me stuff. Burger King using soft cell and squeeze to sell me meat and the Smiths try ing to sell me a car. The Smiths. HA! Friggin hypocrites! in the 80's it was "Oh we won't ever make a video. crass commercialism." HA! BULLSH*T! THE SMITHS ARE THE ULTIMATE SELL OUTS!
Mark my words. Nine Inch Nails "Head like a Hole" will use to try to sell you all Tylenol in the next 5 years! I'd rather have Orgy doing a purely crap verson of New Order than a Burger King commercial! But thats one can of hairspray's opinion! Take Care Aqua Net
