Subject: It's just me, isn't it?
"Shiny Shiny" by Haysi Fantayzee. What is this? I don't remember this. Yet there it is on one after another of my compilation discs, smiling up at me, nestled amongst The Cure, Depeche, and even Echo. Did I miss it? Was the merry little melody too much for my gloom and doom music muses to even introduce to our little clan? Or is it just some ditty written around then that managed to get people to pay for it a decade later?
Who remembers this song and from where?

The song "Shiny Shiny" was the second of two UK top 20 hits by Haysi Fantatzee. The first was "John Wayne Is Big Leggy". Both songs were off the album "Battle Hymns For Children Singing".
For those interested, the album is now available again in the UK, bit of an odd one to reissue if you ask me but there you go. I shouldn't comment thought; I bought both singles when they came out (and still have them!!).

I don't remember this one either lang, but it seems to me that a lot of comps have these obscure songs on them. For example, "On the Charts: I.R.S. Records 1979-1994" has loads of familiar fare from "Our Lips Are Sealed" to "She Drives Me Crazy" to "Mexican Radio", but tucked in right at the end is "Dizz Knee Land" by dada. This may be familiar to some, but I had never heard it.
BTW, thanks again for the phone number. I'm feeling much better now

Awwwwwww, Lester. How does it feel to be my single solitary source of sanity in this world? I mean, not ALL the time, don't put that kind of pressure on yourself, but right now. Thanks.
Now, have you encountered this? Three o'clock in the morning, quiet little splashes and squawks coming from the pool? The little buggers are still out there...

Oh geeez, compliments and flattery... I don't think I'm equipped for this. The pressure I can handle... lol

lang, I seriously hope this is happening only in your neighborhood. I don't think I'm up to it again. Maybe one of your neighbors has a pet penguin that runs loose at night?
