Subject: Another big page done over...

This one required a lot of cut and paste work, so notification of any glaring mistakes would be appreciated..

"867-5309/Jenny" was Originally by Tommy Tutone not The Nails.

"1999", Originally by Talking Heads, Remade by P.M. Dawn.

I don't know this remake but listened to a sound clip, and it was 1999 by Prince. It may also use lyrics from "Once In A Lifetime." The full title was "Fantasia's Confidential Ghetto: 1999/Once In A Lifetime/Coconut."

"Abracadabra", Originally by Sweet Sensation, Remade by Def Leppard.

Not sure on this one.....but the only "Abracadabra" I know is by Steve Miller Band. Never heard the Def Leppard version.

"All Around The World", Originally by All Around The World, Remade by Puff Daddy and the Family

This was by Lisa Stansfield....not sure about the remake.

I need to go now.......but let me know if I'm on the right track here? If I am, I will finish looking when I get home later tonight.

Subject: Yup, you're on the right track

yup.. this is the type of stuff I'm looking for.. I'm sure some of these are cut and paste errors on my part.. I'm kicking myself though, for not saving a copy of the page before I wiped it out, since it's likely those weren't wrong to begin with.. fortunately, it's cached at google.. the link is below

and it looks like I have some of those correct in the datafile, which means there is an error with how the script generates the page. So, I just fixed it.. and made the fixes you pointed out

Abracadabra was remade by Sugar Ray.

"Baby Can I Hold You Tonight" is just "Baby Can I Hold You."

This is backwards, Originally NWA, Remade by Dope.

"Father", Originally by George Michael , Remade by LL Cool J
LL Cool J can make his cover version better than the originals, this one defenitely a better one

I think this is just a sample.

"Fight For Your Right To Party" is just "Fight For Your Right"

"Forget Me Not(s)", Originally by Patrice Rushen, Remade by Will Smith (Men in Black)
Like the other rap cover's it sucks. But, I think that Will Smith has covered other tunes (I'm pretty sure Gettin' Jiggy wit it is a cover).

This is just a sample, not sure I would put in in a cover section.

I'm ashamed to say it... But Len's version might be better.

Also The title is "Material Girl" by Madonna, actually sampled by The Tamperer feat. Maya on "If You Buy This Record (Your Life Will Be Much Better)."
