I recently asked for help on finding out the name and/or group who sang a really weird song in the 80's. Circa 1985 when music video was a treat to those of us who did not get MTV right of way. It went somenthing like this:

WE ARE ANIMALS

OH-WE-A-OH-WE-A-OH-WE-A-OH

IT'S DEFINETLY NOT JUNGLE LOVE, although I do appreciate the response.

A bunch of guys were shown in the video dancing around with their faces painted and doing some kind of African Dance-like moves. They were white and maybe Brittish. This is driving me absolutley mad!

I just looked back....could it be Tarzan Boy??? Sorry if this does not help!!

OKay, this is problay not going to help, but was'nt "jungle Love" in a mouthwash commercial a few years back? Or maybe it was the other song? I don't know, just trying to help.

I'm thinking it might be "We Eat Cannibals" by Totally Cooleo, but that's just a guess (and I've been known to be wrong in these matters...)

"I Eat Cannibals" by Total Coelo would be my guess too. Here's a link to the lyrics.

Could it be that song...not sure of the title, but I think it is Jungle Boy..I have seen others talk about it here....maybe that is it???

It doesn't sound like "Tarzan Boy" to me at all..(and that is the song from the Listerine commercials)...Now, if there is another song called "Jungle Boy", I don't know it. But I have noticed A LOT of people mistake "Tarzan Boy" for "Jungle Boy" for some reason...

I doubt it's "tarzan boy" only because i vaguely remember the video. there's just one scrawny guy who wore a ton of blush dressed like tarzan with comic book-like backgrounds. i think it was even supposed to actually look like he was in a comic book.

I agree "Tarzan Boy" is not it. "I Eat Cannibals" might be. I've seen the video only once, and that was 20+ yrs ago. But I think it is similar to what was described by this person. However, the song doesn't have a "we-oh-a-oh" or anything. Perhaps there's a mix-up in memories and a couple songs are running together and bringing up a vision of a particular video.

I am not saying this song/video doesn't exist! It's just very rare for NO ONE in here to figure out a song/video/artist.
