Subject: 80s music freak thanks
This was the first time anyone had ever heard of the song that has eluded me for all these years.I had dug up the name Conductor in a billboard list.BUT for the life of me I could never find a copy of the album or anyone who ever remembered hearing it.With all my dead ends that I kept running into I gave up on the idea that I had the right band. Now I got a little bit more info to go on thanks. If you know of a copy I would be interested in copy of my own.

No problem. Yours is the type of challenging music q that I like to see here on the '80s board - and for the first time in ages, I actually beat TX to the answer, LOL!
I'll be honest w/ you, though. That Conductor song is one that has eluded me for a while as well - I don't actually have it in my '80s collection (yet). Here in the U.S., the band was signed to an indie label - Montage - which is why the album is a bit harder to find than most (in addition to the fact that it wasn't exactly a gold or platinum seller). As TX pointed out, you can find the song through the 'net on LP or even the 45, provided you still own a turntable to play them on. But speaking for myself, I can't stand vinyl - I've always been a cassette and CD person. And to the best of my knowledge, the Conductor album has never been re-issued on CD anywhere in the world, and it's a fairly safe bet that it never will be. When it originally came out in 1982, it was issued on both LP and cassette. So for me, that leaves cassette, and as I noted above, I've been keeping an eye out for it in my record-store travels for several years now, but unfortunately, no luck yet...
I see from your e-mail addy that you're apparently in Canada. It's quite possible (even likely) that Conductor was signed to a different label up there, and that "Voice on the Radio" fared better on the charts in the Great White North...
