Subject: Goonies question

Has anyone noticed that on the tape that the octopus scene is edited out? I thought it was pretty weird, since they mention the octopus in the end.

Yeah, but you know, when I saw the movie in the theater, the octopus scene wasn't in it either. It was in the book, but just not in the movie. I was told that the scene IS there, but only in some of the newer showings of the movie. I haven't seen it at all myself.

Marci, you haven't seen the scene yet? It's stupid, but it deserves to be in the movie since they make reference to it.

No, I haven't seen it, but I'd be curious to. Although I have heard the scene was really lame, and that it was no wonder it'd been left out.:) But I never did understand why they had left the comment at that ending scene in at all, unless they figured it'd be taken as just another exaggeration from the Goonies. It wasn't until I read the book and stuff that I found out that there really WAS an "octopus incident". But I do feel a tad left out to not have seen it!
