Subject: Who Watched BTM: Twisted Sister
IMO, this had the best story ever told on BTM, and I'm talking about the incident where people were throwing things at the band at a show in England. The way Dee Snider told it, it was hilarious!!

I agree. I couldn't stop laughing. That man sure knows how to tell a story. I also think it was one of the best. I never knew what lead to their breakup. Does anyone think they might make a new album? That would be cool.

I saw it. It was great. I especially liked where Mark Mendosa stated he didn't care if Dee Snider lived or died. I hate it when people label Twisted Sister as a glam band. They wore makeup for only a few years of their career. And their music was down and dirty, raw, heavy metal. And well played metal at that. And I'm a huge Kiss fan, and know that J.J. Frech either tried out for Wicked Lester (What Kiss called themselves before they were Kiss, not our esteemed colleague on this board), or he might have been in the band briefly, I can't remember which, but they didn't mention this at all. Anyway, it was a great show none the less.

Actually, the "BTM" episode on Twisted Sister *did* mention French's tryout in Wicked Lester (near the beginning, of course). I remember simply because that was the first time I'd ever heard that (never been a huge TS fan)...

Kissonline addresses the JJ French matter, and according to the website he would have been 14 years old at the time in question. Of course that doesn't mean it didn't happen, just look at Kenny Wayne Shepard.
Anywho, he's listed on the linked page as "Segal, Jon" if you want to check it out.
BTW, I agree with what you said about the glam rock image TS picked up. It's too bad they'll only be remembered for the image protrayed in a couple of their videos.
