I guess I'll get on this train too. There was a gum called "Squirt" I used to buy it all the time in my favorite flavor...Awesome Apple...bright green and extremely sweet!

For some reason, I want to say Chewels, but other friends and family thought I was nuts. I really remember the product packaing -- little squares (sorta plumb in middle), red/green foil package.
This ring a bell for anyone?

I remember the product but I can't remember the name. I think it had the word "-up" in it, probably Freshen-up? Was that it?

Yes, I'm right, it IS "Freshen-up"! I found some at a convenience store. Didn't buy it, though. I stopped chewing gum because I now have five fillings in my teeth.

Just the other day I ran into a similar product at a Big Lots store. I think the name was "Splash" or "Squish" or "Squirt" or something. It started with an "S" and the name was what the gum did in your mouth. This was not "Freshen-up," although Freshen-up still exists.

The name is Spout. That's why I couldn't think of it. But although it is like Freshen-up, it's made by a different company.

wow, old thread... but I still remember what that stuff was like to chew.. weird feeling to bite into gum and have it give out juice.. damn, now I want to hunt some out..
this is the type of stuff you could probably find from 1983 still in some musty old convience store.. unsold, and marked up due to it's rarity.. hehehhe
