Subject: what's the name of that movie?
I have looked everywhere for the name of a movie, foriegn i think, that had a runaway girl pretending to be a boy. She ran away to find her dad. She meets a AWOL soldier on a train that they are both sneeking on to. The soldier takes her under his wing and helps her. The soldier is being pursued by army police and the girl helps him too. The girl was staying with a neighber or something while the dad went to work in the city (i think). I know it sounds a lot like the journey of natty gann...but it is not the same movie. I think it might be australian. The girl and the soldier fall in love even though there is a big age difference. They dont do anything in appropriet. They part ways at the end with her with her dad and him turning himself in to the army police. They promise to write and meet later...when she is older and he is a free man. Please any help you can give me would be great. I saw this film on TV one Sunday afternoon about 6 years ago. I tryed to remember the name..i feel that the name was very generic, like the girl and the hobo, or the runaway and the soldier. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
